NO MORE CONDEMNATION -Fulfilled On the cross

NIV
Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

When Jesus said these words the punishment of sin began, the fulfilment of prophecies began. Let's look at condemnation. Before the Word became flesh John 1:14, he was known as LORD or LORD God. At that time there was separation between God and humans. And that was sin. Find out more ☞ WHAT IS SIN?  Before sin was a plan before all creation.

GOD'S PLAN BEFORE CREATION

When Adam and Eve sinned in Eden sin spread throughout the entire human race and separated man from God, but before creation he had a plan.

Ephesians 1
  • 4 Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love
  • 5 God had already decided that through Jesus Christ he would make us his sons and daughters- this was his pleasure and purpose.

This plan got ruined by sin that brought death along. God warned Adam to not eat on the tree of knowledge of good and evil, if he did he would die Genesis 2 : 16-17. But because of his love he kept coming through humans but we continued to sin. From the Old Testament it was Jesus as LORD at that time, before becoming flesh and having a human name, Jesus; he always was the one who met with the chosen prophets to communicate with us. It is still him but now no prophets but his Spirit, the Holy Spirit. The huge problem is, we have knowledge but it's the understanding that we don't have. There's only one person who does that and that is the Holy Spirit through his 9 gifts 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

THE SEPARATION- The curtain in the Temple

Exodus 26 Good News - Today's English Version

  • 1 "Make the interior of the sacred Tent, the Tent of my presence, out of ten pieces of fine linen woven with blue, purple, and red wool. Embroider them with figures of winged creatures.
  • 32 Hang it in four posts of acacia-wood covered with gold, fitted with hooks, and set in four silver bases.
  • 33 Place the curtain under the row of hooks of the Tent, and behind the curtain put the Covenant Box containing the two stone tablets. The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

This Most Holy Place where LORD God's presence was, was only enter once a year for sin-offerings

Leviticus 16:2 He said, "Tell your brother Aaron that only at the proper time is the curtain into the Most Holy Place, because that is where I appear in a cloud above the lid on the Covenant Box.

Hebrews 9:7 but only the high priest into the inner Tent, and he does so only once a year. He takes with him blood which he offers to God on behalf of himself and for the sins which people have committed without knowing they were sinning.

The LORD, the Word of God became flesh and he came to destroy this condemnation, this sin

1 John 3:8 Whoever continues to sin belongs to the Devil, because the Devil has sinned from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very reason, to destroy what the Devil had done.

THE RECONCILIATION ON THE CROSS

When Jesus cried on the cross,
Matthew 27:46 " My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"

It was because God saw our sins in full and was punishing them. Jesus as a sinless human had carried on his body sins of all sinners in all human race. God hates sin and it separates God from humans.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ died for sins once and for all, a good man on behalf of sinners, in order to lead you to God.

John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

2 Corinthians 5
  • 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation
  • 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.

Ephesians 1
  • 6 Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son!
  • 7 For the blood of Christ we are set free, that is our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God,
  • 8 which he gave to us in such large measure! In all his wisdom and sight
  • 9 God did what he had purposed, and made known to us the secret plan he had already decided to complete by means of Christ.

Remember the plan? That was ruined by creation- the Devil, humans and sin that brought death along? This plan was fulfilled on the cross when Jesus Christ destroyed what the Devil had done.

  • 10 This plan, which God will complete when the time is right, is to bring all creation together, everything in heaven and on earth.

Because all creation has fallen, earth, heaven, Jerusalem, this life, body Find out more ☞ A Flesh Stays A Flesh Until Our Bodily Redemption. Of course I didn't forget the famous verse

Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

Jesus was a sinless man. So he cried to the only hope, which is God when he became sin for all our sins.

1 Peter 2:22 He committed no sin
But he came to do away with sin.
Romans 7 : 8 Sin is a dead thing.

John 19:30 " It is finished. " When he said this, the condemnation, the separation from our God was defeated, paid fully by Christ on the cross.

JESUS DEFEATED WHAT SIN BROUGHT ALONG-DEATH

Luke 23:46 "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. "
John 19 : 30 He bowed his head and gave up his spirit
Mark 15 : 38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

When this curtain got torn in two that was in the temple it meant that the condemnation, the separation from God and sinners was completely removed with death along. Death has nothing on all those who are in Christ Jesus. Father God hates sin and what it brings which is death. Roman 6:23 For sin pays its wages-death; but God's free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord. Then Jesus went to those who lived at the time of Noah and also reconciled them with God. Find out more ☞ Jesus Died To Reconcile Those At The Time Of Noah With God. Now that's Grace without limitations. Find out more about Jesus and the cross ☞ The Law was given Grace

Hebrews 9:28 In the same manner Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him.

When Jesus comes back he won't deal with sins of believers but save them from God's wrath (anger or Judgement). We are safe because of him. "Thank you Jesus."
