JUDAS WAS JESUS' FRIEND AND A DISCIPLE

Hello my dear friends. I use to think Jesus was killed on the cross and that Judas Iscariot was a traitor who did a horrible thing! But recently I found out he wasn't a traitor but was created by God for the purpose of betraying Jesus Christ to hand him to the Romans. I personally believe Judas Iscariot is in heaven now!

JUDAS ISCARIOT LOVE FOR MONEY

When Jesus was anointed at Bethany with a very expensive perfume some of his disciples became angry and saw it as a waist, that the perfume would have been sold and the money given to the poor Mark 14. TEV Bible

John 11

  •  4 One of Jesus' disciples, Judas Iscariot the one who was going to betray him said,

  •  5 Why wasn't this perfume sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?

  •  6 He said this, not because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief. He carried the money bag and would help himself from it.

Judas Iscariot was Jesus' disciple meaning he was chosen by Jesus to become one

He was in charge of their money bag. Jesus chose him to be one of his disciples and knew he loves money and still was in charge of their money bag!

Judas was a thief, he would help himself from it. Jesus knew all this! That was where Judas sin would stir up- money!

SATAN ENTERS JUDAS

Luke 22:3 Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples.

This means the entire time Judas was free from Satan but had an imperfection of loving money where his sin would help itself for he would help himself on their money bag, a thief! But now Satan entered him.

Matthew 26

  •  14 Then one of the twelve disciples the one named Judas Iscariot- went to the chief priests

  •  15 and asked, "What will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?" They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to him.

  •  16 From then on Judas was looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them.

To me if Satan had not entered Judas he wouldn't have done this!

JESUS KNEW JUDAS WOULD BETRAY HIM AND DID NOT STOP HIM

John 13

  •  1 It was now the day before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. He always loved those in the world who were his own, and he loved them to the very end.

Meaning Jesus loved even Judas for he was his own as his disciple to the very end. No wonder his heart troubled him-Jesus!

  •  2 Jesus and his disciples were at supper. The Devil had already put into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, the thought of betraying Jesus.

  •  3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him complete power; he knew that he had come from God and was going to God.

That's why he didn't stop Satan from entering Judas

That's why Judas was chosen to be his very own disciple to betray him

That's why Judas was in charge of their money bag knowing very well he loves money and would steal it

That's why he did not stop Judas from betraying him for i believe it was putted from Judas' creation his purpose in life would be to betray him handing him over to the Romans

  • 5 Then poured some water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and dry them with the towel round his waist.

  • 10 Jesus said, "Those who have had a bath are completely clean and do not have to wash themselves, except for their feet. All of you are clean-all except one"

  • 11 ( Jesus already knew who was going to betray him; that is why he said, "All of you, except one, are clean.")

  • 21 After Jesus had said this, he was deeply troubled and declared openly, "I am telling you the truth: one of you is going to betray me."

I believe his heart was troubled because he loved Judas as one of his very own for he was his chosen disciple.

Matthew 26

  • 23 "One who dips his bread in the dish with me will betray me."

  • 24 The Son of Man will die as the Scripture says he will, but how terrible for that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would have been better for that man if he had never been born!

To me this means Judas was going to hang himself due to being filled with regret for handing Jesus to the Jewish authorities. Secondly I think Jesus meant if Judas was not born then he wouldn't have to drink the cup of suffering poured by God for him for it was on Judas' creation this purpose was putted in him, to betray Jesus.

  • 25 Judas, the traitor, spoke up. "Surely, Teacher you don't mean me?" he asked. Jesus answered, "So you say."

Jesus did not stop him from betraying him for he was meant to betray Jesus!

SATAN ENTERS JUDAS THE SECOND TIME

John 13

  •  26 Jesus answered, "I will dip some bread in the source and give it to him, he is the man." So he took a piece of bread, dipped it, and gave it to Judas, the Son of Simon Iscariot.

  •  27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered him. Jesus said to him, "Be quick about what you are doing! "

Jesus allowed Satan to enter Judas a second time for the hour has come for him to be handed over to be crucified.

  •  28 None of the others at the table understood why Jesus said this to him.

  •  29 Since Judas was in charge of the money bag, some of the disciples thought that Jesus had told him to go and buy what they needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor.

  •  30 Judas accepted the bread and went out at once

A KISS TO BETRAY JESUS

In Gethsemane where Jesus went to pray with him Peter, John and James. Judas arrived with a crowed armed with swords and clubs, and sent by the chief priests, the teachers of the law and elders.

Mark 14

  •  44 The traitor had given the crowd a signal:" The man I kiss is the one you want. Arrest him and take him away under guard."

Indeed he was a traitor!

Matthew 26 NIV

  •  49 Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.

  •  50 But Jesus said to him, "Friend, why have you come?" Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

Jesus called Judas a FRIEND! Jesus knew exactly what was going on and what was to happen! Jesus was the only one who called Judas Iscariot a FRIEND! A lot from the bible to today calls him the traitor! But Jesus called him a FRIEND!

This is something a lot a of people missed, that Jesus knew and yet called him a FRIEND!

Luke 22:48 But Jesus said to him, " Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"

JUDAS' DEATH

Matthew 27

  •  3 When Judas, the traitor, learnt that Jesus had been condemned, he repented and took back the 30 silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.

  •  4 I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to death! he said,

  •  5 Judas threw the coins down in the Temple and left, then he went off and hanged himself

The fulfilment of Matthew 26: 24 came true.

  •  6 The chief priests picked up the coins and said, "This is blood money and it is against our law to put it in the Temple treasury"

  •  7 After reaching an agreement about it, they used the money to buy Potter's Field, as a cemetery for foreigners

  •  8 That is why that field is called "Field of Blood" to this very day

  •  9 Then what the prophet Jeremiah had said came true: "They took the 30 silver coins, the amount the people of Israel had agreed to pay for him

  •  10 and used the money to buy the potter's field, as the Lord had commanded me."

JUDAS' SUCCESSOR

On Acts 1 Judas had a successor. Peter explained why what he did happened on a meeting of believers who were about 120 in all vs 11-19. His successor was Matthias who was chosen after a prayer to the Lord Jesus to show who should be his successor.

Personally I believe Judas was chosen from his creation that his purpose in life would be to betray Jesus. I believe Judas Iscariot is in heaven for fulfilling what the scripture said about Jesus' death.
