The Saints On Rev 13 Completes the Number Of Saints On Rev 6:11

When John saw the visions on Revelation was during the time christians were being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. John was putted on the Island of Potmos

Revelation 1:9 was on the Island of Potmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

John wrote "was" meaning when he saw the visions he "was" on the Island of Potmos but when he wrote this letter to the 7 churches of the province of Asia [Rev 1:4] he was no longer on the Island of Potmos.

He wrote the visions he saw on a scroll

Revelation 1

  • 11 which said: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches"
  • 19 Write, therefore, what you have seen (12-18), what is now and what will happen later"

When he wrote this letter to the 7 churches he wrote the visions he saw and wrote on the scroll into this letter.

John was still still suffering, being persecuted that is, when he wrote the letter

Revelation 1:9 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus,"

Paul had already said the power of the lawlessness was at work during the time he wrote his 2nd letter to the Thessalonians

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the secret power of the lawlessness is already at work, but the one who holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken away

Revelation 9

  • 1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the abyss.
  • 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.

When he saw the visions and later wrote letter Satan was not yet taken away. Peter also said,
1 Peter 5

  • 8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour
  • 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers through out the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.

When John saw these visions on the Island of Potmos he saw a scroll sealed with 7 seals

Revelation 5

  • 1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

A mighty angel asked

  • 2 "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll? "

No one was Found worthy on heaven, earth and under the earth and John said on the letter he wept when nhe saw the vision

  • 4 I wept and wept because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look inside

Why did he weep? I conclude it was because Satan had to be taken away 2 Thessalonians 2:7 and God's kingdom would not come!

  • 5 Then one of the elders said to me, " Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and it's seven seals. "

The 5th Seal

  • 9 When he The Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained
  • 10 They called out in a loud voice, " How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood? "
  • 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.
  • 12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal The Lamb broke the 6th seal while in heaven and the next happens while he is still in heaven. There was great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned red,
  • 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
  • 14 The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. The Lamb did not descend from heaven to earth, he was still in heaven.
  • 15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him God who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.

We find here that they are afraid to see the face of God and afraid of the wrath of the Lamb.

  • 17 For the great day of their wrath has come and who can stand?"

The day of God's wrath and the Lamb's wrath has come.

On the 5th seal the souls of the slain saints asked for the Lamb to avenge their blood Rev 6:10 Now on verse 17 The wrath of God and the Lamb has come. Then God sent his angels to seal his servants on their foreheads to save them from his wrath

Revelation 7

  • 3 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God"
  • 4 Then I heard the number of those were sealed 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.

Then John saw a great multitude

  • 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Verse 14 tells us who they are

  • 14 And he said, " These are they who have come out of the great tribulation Remember Paul had already said this tribulation had already started 2 Thessalonians 2 :7 When John saw these visions was still during that time; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
  • 15 Therefore, " they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them,.
  • 16 Never again will they hunger, never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat
  • 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

God's wrath and the Lamb's wrath has not yet began until the 7th seal.

Revelation 8

  • 1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
  • 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
  • 3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
  • 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand
  • 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
  • 6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

God's wrath began
On the 5th trumpet Satan was finally taken away

Rev 9

  • 1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the abyss.
  • 2 When he opened the abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the abyss.
  • 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and we're given power like that of scorpions of the earth.
  • 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads On the 6th seal God's angels sealed 144,000 people of Israel on their foreheads Rev 7:3-4
  • 5 They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
  • 6 During those days men will seek death those without God's seal, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
  • 11 They had as king over them the Angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.

The scroll was opened because all 7 seals were broken by the worthy Lamb. Out of the 7th seal came 7 angels with 7 trumpets. On the 5th trumpet Satan was taken away 2 Thessalonians 2:7.

John gave evidence that all seals were broken during his visions from the Island of Potmos on the 6th trumpet.

Rev 9

  • 13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God.
  • 14 It voice from the horns before God said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates. "
  • 15 And the four angels from verse 14 who had been kept kept because that was a vision he had on the Island of Potmos and was now writing a letter to the 7 churches ready for this very hour and day and month and year The day he wrote this letter to the 7 churches were released on his vision to kill a third of mankind.

On the Island of Potmos the 4 angels who were bound at the great river Euphrates were released to kill a 3rd of mankind on the very hour, day, month and year John wrote this letter of Revelation to the 7 churches of the province of Asia. While he was writing this letter the 4 angels kept ready to kill a 3rd of mankind. This means from the 1st seal to the 5th trumpet all has happened and what was happening when he wrote the letter was the 4 angels ready to kill a 3rd of mankind just like he saw on his vision on the island of Potmos.

Still on the 6th angel with the 6th trumpet, on Revelation 10 came a delay and John ate the open scroll.

  • 6 and said the mighty angel on verse 1 "There will be no more delay!
  • 7 But in the days days to come When the seventh angel sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets"
  • 8 "Go ,take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land "
  • 10 I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it.

Satan will be set free from the abyss on Rev 11 :7 to kill the 2 witnesses after they have finished their testimony for 1260 days.

Revelation 11:7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that come up from the abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.

Then finally the number will get completed Rev 6:11

Rev 11:15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,

Revelation 13

  • 1 And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had 10 horns and 7 heads, with 10 crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.
  • 4 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, " Who is like the beast? " This beast from the sea is a false Messiah because he will be worshiped by the inhabitants of the earth
  • 7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
  • 8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.

  • 11 Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.
  • 13 And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. He is a false prophet Rev 19:20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf.
  • 14 Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
  • 15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all God's people/saints who refused to worship the image to be killed.
  • 16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
  • 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Rev 13 finally completes the number of the saints that were to be killed on Rev 6:11

Rev 15:2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and , standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God.
